Entropie has been awarded a contract by Hanwha Engineering and Construction (HWENC), a Korea based EPC contractor, for the supply of a desalination plant with a total capacity of 63 348 m3/d. The final destination of the plant is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Yanbu II Power and Water Project. The desalination plant is anticipated to be delivered and completed by end of 2012.
The scope of supply includes engineering, fabrication and delivery of two Multiple Effect Distillation (MED) units 31 674 m3/d each and one remineralisation plant.
The desalination units shall consist of seven evaporation cells operating in Multiple Effect Distillation (MED) process with thermcompressor (TVC).
