Entropie has been awarded a contract by Hanwha Engineering and Construction (HWENC), a Korea based EPC contractor, for the supply of a desalination plant with a total capacity of 53333 m3/d. The final destination of the plant is Ras Az-Zawr in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where HWENC is developing a combined power and water plant within the Maaden phosphate complex. The desalination plant is anticipated to be delivered and completed by end of 2009.

The scope of Entropie consists in the engineering, fabrication and supply CIF of the plant. The desalination unit is a Multiple Effect Distillation (MED) type fitted with a thermal vapour compressor. The plant is composed of four units, each with a capacity of 13333m3/day.
