Entropie has been awarded a contract by Snamprogetti in Italy for the supply of one desalination unit with a net capacity of 5 400 m3/d of distilled water.

The final destination of the unit is the Qatar Fertilizer Company, where Snamprogetti is currenctly building an extension of the plant. Completion date is anticipated to be August 2009.

The unit will be based on the Multiple Effect Distillation technology (MED). It is composed of four evaporation cells under the thermocompressor.
