### Project Description :

The desalination plant was supplied as a turnkey contract to increase the water production capacity at Kalba. Product water is mainly exported to Kalba town, after blending with their existing brackish water treatment plant.

### Technical Description :

The plant consists in 1 unit TCD 4 9091 and composed of 4 effects, delivered in modules. Thermocompressors draw vapour from the bundles of the stage 2 and discharge in the bundles of the stage 1. Steam is produced by a water tube boiler operating with a dual fuel type burner system (gaz and LFO), and sea water is pumped out from intake on the shore (3 km away from the station).
