**Entropie has been awarded a contract by SK Engineering and Construction for the supply of a desalination plant with a total capacity of 3000 m3/d. The final destination of the plant is Chile for the PIEM Thermoelectric power plant. The desalination plant is anticipated to be delivered and completed by early of 2017.**

  
**The scope of supply includes engineering, fabrication, FOB delivery of two Mechanical Vapor Compression (MVC) units 1 500 m3/d each. Entropie will also supervise the installation and start-up of the desalination plant.**

  
**The desalination technology used is Multiple Effect Distillation (MED) fitted with a mechanical vapour compressor. The unit has been designed with two evaporation cells in order to minimize the power consumption.**
